Ment is a music discovery festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Each year the organizers collaborate with Dobra vaga and invite artists to make their own vision of the festivals’ acts. The illustrations are then printed and exhibited at the festival venues and Dobra vaga gallery.
I got invited to illustrate Niko Novak, Kuunatic, DJ Fitz and Echoes of Zoo, artists curated by Druga godba.
Niko Novak is at the top, on the left, peering through a portal from his dark world.
Echoes of Zoo are at the bottom, on the right - a tiger/wolf combo that symbolizes their wild brand of jazz.
On the right from Niko, I drew Kuunatic as a three-eyed mountain which I thought described their earthy psych style very well.
DJ Fitz is at the bottom, on the left, depicted as three-faced - a nod to the music he selects, looking both to the east and the west.
Druga godba is the pink thread that connects them all.
