I had a solo exhibition in 2023. and wanted to make some merch. The name of the show was Practice, meaning something you do every day, so the idea was to make something that would reflect my everyday life.
Sometimes ideas like to visit me in the form of sentences.
“Animals Watered, Plants Fed“ just came to me one morning and as I was repeating it to myself I realized it’s a great description of my impression of wellbeing.
It describes the state when all the needs are met, even the more eccentric ones.
I made the illustration stylistically compatible with the wonderful Zalfia typeface from Neva Zidić and customized the prints with spraypaint and stencils.
I decided to make Animals Watered, Plants Fed vibe wearable, in the form of long sleeve tees.
A very helpful Eva Badanjak taught me how to do silkscreen prints in my kitchen, so my home was once again transformed into a workshop. Fun times!
